Pizza and salad go perfectly together, so logically putting the two together makes perfect sense right? This Salad Pizza does that with a combination of a white pizza and a vinaigrette salad on top. I think we all want to eat our favorite foods without feeling guilty. That is what I love about this pizza. It allows us to eat pizza with a healthy salad on top!
I will leave the crust up to you. I love making a fresh pizza crust, like this one. But in a pinch, it’s just as good picking up a refrigerated pizza crust for this recipe. Simply follow the instructions for the crust.
If you like white pizza, you will love this recipe. It uses ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, and a little grated Parmesan. First mix the ricotta with garlic, salt, and pepper. Then add the rest of the cheese.
This goes in the oven for 15-20 minutes at 400°. Remove the pizza when it is done to your desired taste. I tend to like my cheese a little brown, especially on the corners. I also love a crunchy crust!
In a separate bowl, you will add your balsamic vinaigrette to about 4 cups of mixed greens. This recipe can be whatever you enjoy — if not, check out my vinaigrette recipe below. You’ll add the salad to the pizza, cut and serve. You can add some red pepper flakes if you want something a little spicer!
Enjoy your favorite pizza with a little salad! This Salad Pizza allows you to do that...guilt free!

For the Salad Pizza
Pre-heat oven to 400° and follow instructions on the pizza crust. Pre-cook the crust for just a few minutes before spreading the cheese on top.
In a small bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, garlic, and salt & pepper. Spread over the pizza crust, leaving about an inch on the sides of the crust.
Add the mozzarella and parmesan cheese to the top of the ricotta mixture. Put in oven for 15-20 minutes or until it reaches your desired taste.
In a separate bowl, add the balsamic vinaigrette to the mixed greens. Start with 2 tablespoons and add more if needed. Spread the salad on top of the finished pizza.
Cut the pizza into slices and serve.
This is a wonderful date night meal or even for a ladies lunch. This goes perfectly with a nice dry white wine!
