I started Burnt Macaroni because I wanted to teach myself how to cook. I truly believe if you can conquer the kitchen, you can conquer anything in life — after all “food is a language we all speak”!
Growing up an Irish girl from the Bronx, our cooking style was simple…meat and potatoes! My Ukranian grandmother added a little spice to our life but I must say, I grew to love Irish Stew and Irish Soda Bread! As I ventured into the world, my palette grew and my love for food and the experience of a great meal became my hobby. I love that food is the great equalizer. And nothing is better than good food, good conversation, and good friends!
Burnt Macaroni is my inspiration! My mission is simple; learn to cook natural, healthy foods for my family and friends. I hope you’ll take this journey with me and maybe even learn something new. It may be a bumpy ride, but I promise it will be fun!
I am also the host of Family Food Live, a Facebook Live show that features 5 recipes in 1 hour. I can be seen live every Wednesday on the Burnt Macaroni Facebook page at 11 am CST/12 noon EST or on Fridays on the Quirky Momma Facebook page at the same time.
Here’s a video I made for you about starting my journey on Burnt Macaroni!
My love for blogging has turned from a hobby to my new passion and work path. I love sharing my favorite family recipes along with new ones I find along the way. I also love to share ideas, DIY videos and products I use. All of the products I share are products and services I use and completely believe in. I will never share anything with you that I don’t love and use. I also use affiliate links to help support my blog.
You can also find me on a great family website, Kids Activities Blog! I am honored to write and create recipes for this amazing family resource. Here are just a a few of those original recipes:
As a television producer, I have met some incredible chefs who inspire me. I had the distinct honor of meeting my greatest inspiration of all, Julia Child. What a lovely woman! I was hoping that someday her good cooking mo-jo would rub off on me. Fingers crossed! I thought you might enjoy this photo! It makes me smile whenever I see it.
My dream of writing is also starting to come true. I was so excited to be featured on “The Huffington Post” as part of Arianna Huffington’s Thrive series. Here’s a look at my article “I Wanted to Be Successful and Raise my Kids”.
I am also a member of the Today Show Parenting Team! I am honored to be part of this amazing group of parents.
I also write for a website devoted to Sports Moms. Check out my work on Sports Mom!
I hope my journey will teach you something new about cooking. And if you have any great cooking tips or secrets that I can use, please feel free to leave me a comment below. You can always email me at email@example.com.
